Our craft
Clay, hands and a little patience.
Hastakala Srishti means "creation by the hand's art". The studio in Ayodhya Nagar, Hyderabad is led by artist Madhuri Abhilash and makes eco-friendly terracotta for homes, balconies and festivals.
The range covers playful planters (Baby Buddha, emoji faces, deer), garden friends like the sheep trio, bird houses for balcony birds, owl wall hangings, mushroom houses and plain mini pots that DIY artists love to paint. The studio also runs hands-on pottery workshops and clay experiences in Hyderabad.
How a piece is made
WedgeNatural clay is kneaded to push out air, so it will not crack in the kiln.
ShapeThrown on the wheel or pinched and carved by hand, curl by curl.
DrySlow shade-drying for days keeps the form true.
FireKiln-firing turns grey clay into warm terracotta red.
